How many of you have seen the video, The Secret? It takes the notion of the Emerald Tablet, "As above, so below," and extends it into manifesting your reality through intention. The problem is, as I see it, is that it doesn't do justice to the unconscious thoughts and beliefs that drive the conscious mind, nor does it give much credence to "The Collective Unconscious", a powerful energetic source that we all are subject to. As a matter of fact, the collective forces drive reality with astounding certainty. Take for example, the current Real Estate market, or the impending archetypal idea of the upcoming 2012 end date of the Mayan Calendar. These factors are also compounded by the alignment of the stars not only in your personal chart but in the nation's chart as well. So, how do we make sense of the idea that we create our reality?
Recently, I was reading an article in the last issue of "Shift" (IONS, 2007, no. 15) that focused on just these ideas: the power of intention and the collective unconscious. One article explored the relationship to the power of thought and intention in several ways. The question was about how ?conscious mind? affects manifest reality. One study used meditators to influence light, and another prayed over chocolate (yes, chocolate) to see if they could enhance the moods of those eating it. (I want to be in that test group!) The researchers had placebo groups, and in both experiments, found the light ( laser beam) and the chocolate showed significant increases with the odds against chance of over 100,000 to 1. The studies showed ?that intuitive perception and intentional action are fundamentally linked at the quantum level.?
Ok, so what does that mean? For one thing, the study groups were groups! A collective of people. The energy of the group (verses an individual) was magnified resulting in a measurable outcome.
From these studies and others done by scientists such as Dean Radin, we are able to see that groups have a powerful affect on outcomes when the collective intention is focused on a single intention. David Hawkins, in Power verses Force, says that energy is a state of consciousness. It can be calibrated, and once it reaches a strong enough level it can affect the "universe." That is the catch. Energy has to reach a level of strength so that when it bumps up against lower levels of energy, it is not disintegrated or brought down to the lower calibration. In fact, with a powerful enough state of consciousness, such as the avatars, the energy can actually uplift others.
This is why I am such an advocate of balancing, clearing and healing your personal subtle energy field. You can "upgrade" your awareness of self and the universal energy field through personal work, chakra clearing and balancing and other body work methods. This work implies clearing the energy body (the bio-field) of the sludge that accumulates in the field from emotional issues and thougthforms hanging around you like a cloud of dust. Once this is cleared out, you can dramatically affect the collective in a positive and conscious way. You can change archetypal thought processes that live in the collective field having to do with doomsday and fear to one of joy and delight. To do this, start with your field and make sure it is clear and balanced. As you do this work with your subtle energy body, you will notice an affect at all levels; physical, emotional and spiritual. As a result, you then become energetically "strong" to be able to focus your intentions for a light-filled collective field for the planet. And to employ this energy more effectively, join a like-minded group in prayer and meditation for healing mother earth. You can do this, we all can!
